Gelatin

Gelnex Gelatin is a protein product obtained from the hydrolysis of collagen.

This hydrocolloid varies in color from light yellow to amber. It has unique functional properties, forms transparent solutions, exhibits thermo-reversibility, and melts at body temperature.

     Gelnex uses select raw material for gelatin production enabling maximum performance
     and excellent characteristics in the final gelatin product. Due to its exceptional functionality,
     Gelnex gelatin is well suited for a wide array of applications.

  •   Two–piece hard gelatin capsules

  • Protein – 84 – 87 %

  • Water – 10 – 12 %

  • Salts – 1 - 2 %

Gelnex gelatins typically range from 180 to 280 Bloom. To address the diverse application requirements of customers, Gelnex also has the ability to custom-produce gelatin grades – providing many different Bloom/viscosity ratios and various mesh sizes. Currently, Gelnex produce the following mesh sizes as standard: 8, 20, 30, 40 and 100 mesh ASTM.
